Governors

All Greenwich maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with a Special Educational Need/s being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible, where families want this to happen.

Willow Dene believes in providing ‘exceptional teaching for exceptional learners’ and as a governing body we support the school in doing that by providing:

  • School Business Committee -  the provision of the best staff and environment, while ensuring value for money
  • Learning and Achievement Committee -  the provision of the best curriculum, ensuring the school development plan is effectively monitored and pupils fulfil their potential
  • Policy Review Committee -  the provision of strategic policies which are fit for purpose
  • Pay Committee – the provision of an effective pay structure , ensuring that there is a clear link between pay and teacher performance

As governors we are committed to helping the school provide the best possible education for it’s pupils by;

  • thinking and working strategically to help raise standards

  • monitoring and evaluating progress towards priorities and targets
