All children celebrate their birthdays with their peers in school. Sometimes classes hold a party to celebrate. These give the children opportunities to learn about social skills, such as sharing, table manners and marking significant events with shared customs, such as singing “Happy Birthday”. If you would like your child to celebrate their birthday with a party in school, discuss it with your child’s class teacher. We would ask you to send in a cake and appropriate party food.

We strongly support close links between school and home and would encourage you to ask questions, discuss any concerns or important information with your child’s class team. However, we would really appreciate if you could try to avoid phoning between 9.15 and 3.15 unless it is urgent as it disrupts teaching and learning. If you do need to phone in between these times, you can speak to someone on reception and they will pass on messages or answer queries and get back to you.

Parents’ Evenings are held in the Autumn term, usually at the beginning of October. Most parents will attend Annual Review meetings in the Spring or Summer terms to discuss their child’s progress.

Unfortunately, due to limited space there is no visitor parking on site. There is unrestricted on-street parking around the school.
