Art in Dormouse Class!

We love art in Dormouse class and have been having a great time learning about the incredible artist Tommy Hollenstein this half term. He is an artist based in Los Angeles, who is quadriplegic and uses his wheelchair wheels to paint on boards on his studio floor.

We were inspired by him to create our own wheel artworks, applying paint to our wheelchairs and to wheels around the classroom - from remote control tractors to little toy cars. We have loved exploring bright contrasting colours and building layers of paint to add texture to our artworks.

Here are some of our paintings, which we look forward to displaying in school to share with our peers!
